Facilitator Background
I have a BA Hons degree along with qualified teacher status, PGCE and LAMDA Diploma qualifications. I also have a current DBS. I have delivered LAMDA lessons and drama workshops in Public Speaking, Acting, Devising Drama and Speaking Verse and Prose for over 20 years.
I have found drama to be extremely beneficial in building confidence and literacy skills and it is thoroughly rewarding to see how someone can grow in terms of self esteem.

I offer sessions for students working towards applying for drama school and adults and companies who need public speaking experience, confidence and empowerment techniques.
My vision has always been to offer lessons at a price which is accessible to all families and to create a welcoming non-intimating environment in which all children and adults can thrive.
Price guide £150 per half day workshop. Please use the contact tab to enquire about availability.
I currently have limited availabilty for 1:1 LAMDA classes. For more information, please visit my Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/lamdasolihull

Writing Poetry
In February 2022, I worked with Solihull residents to compile poems to contribute to the Poet’ree at Solihull Library in association with the W.H.Auden festival.
I believe that everyone can write poetry and it is extremely therapeutic. Starting with thoughts and words to put your feelings and ideas on to paper.

Comedy
Lots of people are intrigued by comedy but find it frightening to give it a go in front of an audience.
I worked with Emma Winscom’s singing students to release their inner playfulness and proved how liberating and how much fun you can have if you just give it a go! Whether you want to compile your own script or use existing text which you can relate to, there is something for everyone!

Confidence Building
Do you absolutely dread talking to crowds? Do you worry about what people think of you and how you come across? Is lack of confidence affecting your every day to day life? Learn how to apply simple techniques and question your thought processes to achieve freeing, ground breaking results.

Improvisation
No line learning needed! Expand your spontaniety, imagination and listening skills, thinking in the moment. Explore endless characters and scenarios through games you may recognise off shows such as ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway’.
London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts

Devising Drama
Learn to create a monologue or scene by building characters, situations and story archs! Let your imagination run, that’s when the real fun starts!

Acting
Choose between solo, duo or groups scenes from existing texts whether it be well known classics or inspiring new writing. Learn how voice, facial expression and movement, all contribute in bringing a character to life!

Public Speaking
Learn the fundamentals of how to create an impactful speech starting with your purpose and intended audience. Make rapid progression in delivering information with confidence through the use of stance, eye contact, hand gestures and clarity of diction.

Speaking Verse and Prose
Did you know that learning poetry and text can help prevent Alzhemers? Are there poems and rhymes you still remember from a very young age? Learn how to bring a variety of your favourite verses and extracts to life using a host of inspiring techniques to hold an audience captivated!

Reading for Performance
Within the framework of a recital based around a theme which is significant to you, share relevant texts both past and present to explore an area of interest. Perfect for those who struggle to learn lines as you learn short linking statements and read the extracts printed infront of you.
